For additional company information, please visit: www.mtsi-va.com Responsibilities Duties * Provide radar systems engineering support to lead engineers for the development of a ground based, Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) radar * Participate in sensors technical reviews as described in the SN Systems Engineering Plan and SN Systems Engineering Technical Review Management Plan including the Systems Requirement Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR), as well as Integrated Product Team (IPT) sponsored TIMs, and Failure Review Boards (FRBs) in conjunction with the sensors BMDS prime contractors * Coordinate and secure approvals, develop, coordinate, and prepare Materiel Release (MR) products to include program inputs, assist with developing MR artifacts and handling of MR data products for the sensor engineering technical and management team. Assist SN with carrying out Lead Systems Engineering responsibilities for the AN/TPY-2 Project Office. * Support system level requirements development, proposal evaluation, performance modeling and assessments, radar resource design/management, tracking, discrimination, signal processing, test and evaluation, and verification to ensure sensor performance meets system requirements * Perform trade-studies and evaluate contractor proposals on system scalability to address future performance requirements * Support Configuration Management, Failure Review Boards, System Engineering Technical Reviews, and Engineering Change Proposals * Interface with a multi-disciplinary product development team to support design, system integration, and fielding * Effectively communicate both orally and in writing Qualifications Experience Required * 7 years' of Engineering experience * 2 years of direct MDA support highly desired * Working knowledge of MDA radars highly
