Terrain Database Simulation Engineer (CAD Designer) (Job Number:442177) Description: JSIL Terrain Database Simulation Engineer * The Joint Technology Center/Systems Integration Laboratory (JSIL) is in need of a Terrain Database Simulation Engineer to support UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) warfighter trainer systems. The JSIL is a DoD establishment that supports the oversight and integration activities of UAS/RPA (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) and UAS/RPA related technologies. JSIL support activities include technology assessment/insertion, interoperability, open architectures, common interfaces, integration, testing, and training. Candidate will be a member of the JSIL Terrain and Model Database Team supporting the development of Geospatial Intelligence Data to support virtual simulation databases that are used in training exercises and tactical training ground stations. The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, installation, test, maintenance, and documentation of real-time visual, and other 3- Dimensional databases used for exercise support and training. Activities include imagery and elevation data ingest, processing, correlation, and publishing exercise-ready terrain data for constructive and virtual simulations.
