The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of Plumbing experience in commercial construction. The successful candidate must have an active State of Alabama Journeyman Plumbers License. Qualified candidate must have the ability to plan, layout and install all drain systems, domestic water systems, natural gas systems, install plumbing fixtures, water heaters, kitchen equipment & elevator sump pumps. Responsibilities: * Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and design ability of related plumbing systems * Cooperate with other trades on the project to complete the project. * Strong working knowledge of job site safety. * High standard of integrity and professionalism * Working knowledge of all hand and power tools. * Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers * Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work as necessary. * Interacts with Customers and documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files. * Keeps current all manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair * Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required * Must be able to be on a rotating emergency non call program. Requirements: * Valid Alabama Drivers License * State of Alabama Journeyman Plumbers License * Must possess own hand tools * Must be able to pass drug test

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Education: * High School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of training and work experience Experience: * Four (4) years of formal technical training * Two (2) years of journeyman experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and fixed from blueprints, schematics and sketches or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Must have sufficient level of education to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature relating to products and vehicles. * Must have excellent driving skills and the ability to maintain satisfactory customer and public relations in performance of duties. Job Description The Lineman Electrician is part of our maintenance force and requires a trained and experienced individual. The Lineman installs, repairs and maintains all power transmission lines, transformers, and related equipment as required in plant maintenance and construction. Job Responsibilities: * Strings, splices, transfers and sags wire in energized or de-energized circuits and connects wires and transformers as specified or directed. * Shortens or lengthens lines by adding or removing wire, using a variety of types of splices, connectors, sleeves or clamps. * Regularly works above ground operating man lift equipment, boom truck or other specialized equipment. * Routes or re-routes power lines over, under or around existing lines and structures, regularly working above, on, or in close proximity to energized lines. * Selects and uses a variety of "hot line" tools and makes use of rubber gloves, line hoses, mechanical jumpers, fiber guards, blankets and other protective devices as specified. * Works on all voltages as required throughout the system. * Installs, removes, transfers, maintains and/or repairs cross arms, pins, insulators, guys, transformer and switch racks and other overhead pole equipment using a variety of hand tools, equipment and power tools. * Installs and removes transformers, including primary and secondary current transformers and self-contained meters; cut-outs, disconnecting switches, circuit breakers and other overhead line devices, rigging block and tackle where necessary or working with ground crew and winch to raise or lower equipment. * May install street and area lights, working with primary and secondary voltages. * Performs line switching or sectionalizing as directed. * Performs emergency repairs, phases and connects circuits under load. * Inspects lines, poles and equipment for signs of damage or wear and reports deficiencies. * Assists in carrying poles, digging holes, piking and guying poles and other such operations involved in the setting or replacing of poles. Requirements: * Minimum 4 years' experience as a Journeyman Lineman * High School diploma or equivalent * Documented completion of Lineman Apprentice Program * The position requires rotating 8-hour shift work, which will include Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays * The position requires overtime work as needed * Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times. Safety is our core value which requires you to wear safety protection such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing and boots with metatarsal protection. * Work in various areas of the plant is required.
