POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Planner Mechanical is responsible for the development of maintenance work plans and prepares them for scheduling and work execution by the mechanical craft at the Decatur manufacturing site. This includes regular maintenance jobs, preventive and predictive jobs, and shutdown jobs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Plans the mechanical and soft skills maintenance work (corrective, preventive and predictive) for the operating site * Provides effective job plans to accomplish work completion in an efficient and effective manner, including material & tool requirements labor estimates, and work instructions * Plans mechanical maintenance work with special attention paid to all regulatory requirements that may apply. This includes, but is not limited to, OSHA rules, EPA regulations, and state and local environmental regulations, ISO 9001, etc. * Provides effective job plans to accomplish work completion in an efficient and effective manner, including material & tool requirements labor estimates, and work instructions * Identifies the need for outside Contractors and secure proposal to complete the scope of work * Reviews submitted work orders for completeness and accuracy communicating with Operations & Maintenance Coordinators as needed * Reviews all completed work orders for completeness and accuracy, updating equipment history data and job plan feedback in the CMMS system as required * Transitions capital improvement projects from engineering department to the operations and maintenance departments. Sales representatives must be able to explain types of gases and uses to customers. * Prepares sales proposal by quoting pricing, credit terms, estimated date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of company's production and delivery schedules using software program set up by company. * Prepares sales contract for orders obtained and submits order to appropriate company personnel. * Keeps management informed by maintaining and submitting activity and results reports (daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses) as required by company's policies and procedures. * Meets with manager to discuss special accounts, projects and situations. * Obtains approval from credit department for new accounts. * Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. * Recommends changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments and discussions with vendors. * Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing memos/reports, and making recommendations to management. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks with other technical people and vendors and participating in professional societies. * Protects operation of company by keeping financial, production, sales and marketing information and plans confidential. * Maintain a professional presence and demeanor that is reflective of a corporate image. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist with store inventories as well as possibly provide backup during vacations and other instances of personnel shortages * Other duties and projects as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university or one to two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 3 years of experience selling medical, specialty or industrial gases and equipment to independent distributors and customers while working for an industrial or specialty gas producer. * Industry experience preferred and related product knowledge is essential. * Negotiating and selling skills required with a proven record of achieving or exceeding assigned sales goals. * Computer proficiency and intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. * Prior experience with SAP order entry software, a definite plus. * Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with insurance coverage as required by company. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Excellent presentation and good negotiating and public speaking skills. * Knowledge of corresponding geographical area. * Ability to drive and walk considerable distances on a daily basis (5-100 miles per day). * Strong verbal and written communication skills, self-starter, self-motivated, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized, ability to achieve goals, ability to focus and pay attention detail. * Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, legal documents and regulatory requirements. * Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical solutions. * Ability to read speak, write, spell and understand the English language. * Moderate work processing skills including windows. * Must be able to work flexible hours to meet customer needs and management expectations. * Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., climb, reach and perform various physical maneuvers to perform the essential functions of the job. * Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). * Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. * Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and background. * Valid driver's license and personal vehicle with insurance coverage as required by company. * Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace. Position Purpose: Under the supervision of the Center Quality Assurance Manager and Center Director, perform Quality Assurance functions as a member of the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) to ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, customer, and European regulations and ImmunoTek requirements. This role does not perform operational tasks. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Maintains current knowledge of FDA, EU, and applicable state regulations in addition to customer specifications. 2. Ensure all product shipments comply with all federal, state, customer, and ImmunoTek requirements. 3. Ensure sample shipments are accurately labeled and shipped to testing laboratory. 4. Ensure donor center records are complete and accurate. 5. Ensure that supplies and materials meet requirements. 6. Ensure compliance with SOPs and that SOP revisions are implemented correctly. Including system process assessments to make the systems more efficient and effective. 7. Assist center Quality Assurance Manager and Center Management to develop Corrective Actions for inspection findings; ensure they are implemented and effective. 8. Ensure that equipment is maintained and calibrated properly. 9. Ensure that proficiency test surveys and employee training are documented properly. 10. Ensure deviation investigations are handled appropriately. Respond to QA Tracking and Trending errors, external audit findings, and internal audit findings. a. Recommend Corrective and Preventative Action Plans (CAPA) to Operations for implementation. b. Monitor and evaluate adequacy of Corrective and Preventative Actions, completeness of reports, assist in root cause analysis. c. Investigate and propose additional corrective actions as required. 11. Ensure compliance with SOPs and that SOP revisions are implemented correctly. 12. Train center staff, as required, on new SOPs, SOP revisions, corrective and preventive actions. 13. Train other designated staff in performing the functions of the QAS position. 14. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Undergraduate degree in science or minimum of 2 years plasma center experience required. Previous work experience demonstrating decision making ability, ability to effectively communicate with and positively influence people, familiarity with fiscal operations, supervisory responsibility, conflict resolution, and customer service. 2. Excellent communication skills and ability to conduct oral presentations. 3. Excellent people skills which extends to a diverse group of individuals and demographics. 4. Three to five years of working experience in a biomedical field preferred. 5. Ability to speak read and write in English. Professional appearance and demeanor. 6. Ability to operate computer software including DMS (with training), eQue and Microsoft Office. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Ability to sit or stand for up to four (4) hours at a time. 2.
