SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: In this role, Ready Reserve Customer Service Agents serve our customers in both the ticketing and gate areas at airport locations. Our professionals serving as a ticket agent are the first to greet our customers and guide and assist them with the ticketing and baggage check-in process. The ticketing process requires the use of computers and agents are responsible for all aspects of the ticketing process - selling, printing, reissue. In addition, a ticket agent is also responsible for managing the check-in process - ensuring our customers have the proper documentation for travel, properly tagging baggage and performing lifting tasks that involve transferring baggage from scales to conveyor belts. Several other lifting tasks will involve handling items as low as floor level and as high as waist level. This job requires frequently lifting bags or items weighing up to 50 pounds. This job also requires occasionally lifting bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds. Our professionals serving as gate agents help our customers with routing, trip planning and gate boarding. The gate agent position requires the use of computers and assists our customers with seat availability, gate announcements with regard to the boarding process, flight status, checking and handling baggage, managing and initiating the boarding process. Gate agents are also required to operate jet ways to place them in position prior to aircraft arrival and lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors. All customer service agents are required to work consistently in public areas surrounded by other people and be able to understand and respond to a variety of questions about travel information. This position requires standing for long periods of time. Additionally, you may be responsible for escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport. As a Ready Reserve Customer Service Agent of Delta Air Lines, you will work between 150 and 1,400 hours per year. Innovate Birmingham is a unique network of 15 community partners and more than 30 employers woven together by a shared belief: talent is distributed equally in our community, but opportunity is not. Our goal is to solve two problems with a unified approach: (1) meet the demand of an IT workforce growing at the second-fastest per capita pace in the country; (2) harness the potential of more than 26,000 under- and unemployed youth in Greater Birmingham. This candidate will have multiple responsibilities and requires proficiency in MS Office. Responsibilities: Must prioritize work based on established needs All internal and offsite mail delivery Postage meter operation and money downloads Maintenance equipment as needed Work with shipping software Use software to report postage and mailing metrics Order postal supplies as needed To be considered for this job, candidates may be required to have the following skills and experience: Demonstrated ability to type 35WPM or higher with accuracy (will be tested) Basic knowledge of Word & Excel (will be tested) 1-2 years work experience in an office environment providing customer support Good communication skills (written and oral) Must be able to prioritize, solve problems, meet deadlines under adverse conditions Ability to learn new equipment & software MUST have a CLEAN driving record Must be able to lift 50 lbs. ITAC Solutions has an Accounting Clerk position for just those type of candidates! Some of the duties for this position would be: Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. Ensure payments are sent to vendors. Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by utilizing invoices and expense reports. Maintain account ledgers. Disburse petty cash as needed. Report sales tax and calculating requirements on paid invoices.
